Mission Statement
This organization shall be known as the Traffic Officers' Association of Central/West Jersey which is formed for the following purposes:
1. To reduce the deaths and injuries by improving Police Traffic Services in all aspects of accident prevention programs and Police Traffic Supervision, Post Accident Procedures to crash victims and Pedestrian Traffic Safety Programs.
2. To induce cooperation between the practitioners in the profession and employ the collective wisdom of the members to advance the practice of Traffic Safety through the medium of assembling the members at meetings, by publication and other means.
3. To associate police officers along with other traffic related agencies engaged in the various areas of Traffic Safety so that they may be kept apprised of the latest technology and legislation in the area of Traffic Safety.
4. To establish further cooperation in the Police profession and provide guidance and educational techniques to accomplish these goals by education opportunities for Law Enforcement Officers with regards to Traffic Safety and Investigations.
5. Obtain grants and/or identify possible funding for traffic related education as well as funding for enforcement purposes.
6. To contribute time and effort to the citizens of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties by means of expanding educational awareness regarding all aspects of Traffic Safety tailoring programs for all ages.(Pre-School age, School age, Adolescents, Adults and Senior Citizens)
7. It shall be the endeavor of the Traffic Officers' Association of Central/West Jersey to support the goals and agenda of the New Jersey State Traffic Officers' Association.

The Traffic Officers Association is a non-profit group made up of police officers and civilians that specialize in the field of traffic enforcement, education and investigation. The Traffic Officers Association of Central/West Jersey represents the Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren County areas. Its membership consists of police officers from those three counties as well as other agencies and groups that are active in the field of transportation and traffic movement.
